Instructions to Make Deco Circle Coasters

 

Supplies Needed:

Strong Tear Away Stabilizer
Insulbrite or Timtex
Fabric
Thread
Spray Adhesive
Vinyl (optional)


Instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of strong tear away stabilizer and fabric.
2. Sew out RED Color number 1
Stop
Remove Hoop (DO NOT UNHOOP)
(Optional Vinyl) Cut a square of vinyl and tape it to the top of the design at each corner to hold in place.
3. Place a square of Insulbrite or Timtex on Table and spray with adhesive.
4. Adhere it to the underneath of the hooped design.
5. Replace hoop.
6. Sew Out GRAY color number 2 (this is the outline placement stitch)
Stop
Remove Hoop (DO NOT UNHOOP)
7. WITHOUT cutting into the interfacing trim the top as close as possible to the outline.
8. WITHOUT cutting into the interfacing trim the bottom as close as possible to the outline.
9. Replace hoop.
10. Sew Out DARK RED color number 3 (this is the outline satin stitch)
11. Remove design from hoop.
12. Tear away remaining tear away stabilizer.
13. Cover with pressing cloth and press.
